Premium smartphone manufacturer Apple introduced an impressive line-up of iPhone 15 series, Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 at the highly-anticipated Apple Event.

From achieving a significant environmental milestone to unveiling the most efficient chipsets, the company put up quite an impressive show at the corporate headquarters of Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

The iPhone-maker expanded its smartwatches line-up with impressive offerings.

Apple Watch Series 9

Apple Watch Series 9 comes at a starting price of Rs 41,900 and Rs 44,990 for the 41mm and 45mm GPS variants, respectively, in aluminium. The aluminium option which supports GPS and cellular connectivity is available at Rs 51,990 and Rs 54990 for 41mm and 45mm models, respectively.

Priced at 70,900, the stainless steel option has GPS and cellular connectivity.

Indian fans looking to buy Watch Series 9 or Watch SE can order now, but the devices will be available in stores from September 22 onwards.Powered by a custom Apple silicon in the all-new chipset S9, the Watch 9 supports double tap gesture and Precision Finding for iPhone, and has a brighter display, among other features.

The new Apple Watch’s 4-core Neural Engine can process machine learning tasks up to twice as fast when compared with the Watch Series 8. The company claims an all-day 18-hour battery life. Use your Watch 9 to command Siri on your smartwatch to access and log health data for details that don’t require the internet.

With double-tap gesture, users can easily control the Watch 9 using just one hand and without touching the display.

Just use the index finger and thumb of the watch hand to pinch together twice and perform common actions on the device like answering a call, ending a call, changing music, stopping a timer, snoozing an alarm, scrolling through widgets and so much more.

The Watch 9 is available in starlight, midnight, silver, (PRODUCT) RED, and a new pink aluminium case. The stainless steel option can be bought in gold, silver, and graphite cases.

If you buy an aluminium Watch 9 with a new Sport Loop band, the product has a neutral carbon footprint.

Apple Watch SE

Apple Watch SE can be yours at Rs 29,900. It is available in 40mm and 44mm aluminium cases. The smartwatch is carbon neutral when paired with a new Sport Loop band.

Apple Watch Ultra 2

Apple Watch Ultra 2 comes for a price tag of Rs 89,900 in India. While it can be ordered now, the device will be available to buy next week on September 22.

Like Watch9, Ultra 2 will also be powered by the all-new S9 chipset, double tap gesture, on-device Siri command, 4-core Neural Engine, Precision Finding for iPhone, among other things. It also has the brightest display ever, an expanded altitude range and advanced capabilities for water adventures.

Ultra 2 runs on watchOS 10 with redesigned apps, Smart Stack, new watch face — Modular Ultra and new cycling experiences. It will have the same 36-hour battery life with regular use and up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode, according to Apple.

The new double tap gesture is enabled by the faster Neural Engine in both Watch 9 and Ultra 2.

Apple said that Ultra 2 has been tested for use across the largest range of altitudes for any Apple product, from 500 meters below sea level to explore the lowest valleys, and up to 9,000 meters to ascend the world’s tallest peaks.

Meanwhile, the tech company also introduced a new AirPods Pro (2nd generation) in an updated avatar. It will come with USB-C charging capabilities, additional dust resistance, and Lossless Audio with Apple Vision Pro.
